The first experience of TM "KOMO" participating in the Anuga Dairy exhibition and a contract for the supply of 50 tons of processed cheese to Latvia
The company "Dubnomoloko", TM "KOMO," is a leading Ukrainian producer of hard, processed, and soft cheeses, as well as butter. The brand has been on the market for over 15 years. The modern cheese factory, located in the city of Dubno, is one of the most powerful in Ukraine. The enterprise is equipped with advanced equipment for the production of hard and processed cheeses, with all production stages fully automated and standardized.
Each year, the factory produces over 15 million kilograms of hard cheese and 4 million kilograms of processed cheese. Dubnomoloko adheres to the highest quality standards and holds a certificate of compliance with the international FSSC 22000 standard.
Preparation for Participation in the International Exhibition
Anuga is not only the world's largest food and beverage trade fair but also a space for sharing experiences in the food industry and finding reliable business partners from around the globe. The exhibition features separate pavilions dedicated to specific products, with Anuga Dairy being one of them, focused exclusively on dairy products.
The company "Dubnomoloko" participated in a European exhibition for the first time and immediately secured a contract. At Anuga Dairy, they showcased hard and processed cheeses in the dairy sector of Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian National Stand.
"The motivation for participating in the exhibition is primarily to develop Ukrainian business and the dairy industry, to present our products to European and other consumers, to enter new markets, to increase sales volumes, and to promote Ukrainian products worldwide. Our company participated in the exhibition for the first time, and it has already yielded good results, which even slightly exceeded our expectations." - Iryna Stopa, Brand Manager of TM "KOMO".
It's crucial to prepare thoroughly for an exhibition to successfully present the company and its products on an international level. Before participating in the exhibition, Dubnomoloko conducted an analysis to determine which product to introduce to the European market, researched consumers and competitors, identified the advantages of their product, and assessed its market entry potential. Only after this thorough preparation was the decision made to participate.
The negotiation process with the Latvian partner lasted almost four months, and an additional two months were needed to finalize the recipes, design, and packaging materials. They selected four types of processed cheese: Shrimp, Original, Shallot, and Mushroom.
Company Results After the Exhibition and Plans for Expanding Export Geography
Following the results of the Anuga 2023 exhibition, the company signed a contract with a partner from Latvia for the production of processed cheese in tubes. Currently, nearly 50 tons of products have already been shipped, and the company plans to increase export volumes by the end of 2024.
"This is a priority product for us, as the company has invested significant funds in equipment. Unfortunately, due to the war, we are not seeing the expected results in the domestic market, so this cooperation helps accelerate the return on our investments." - Iryna Stopa, Brand Manager of TM "KOMO".
Based on the experience of securing this contract, the company representatives have initiated negotiations with two more partners from other European countries and consider their participation and the outcome of the contract very effective. Additionally, negotiations are underway with partners from Scandinavian countries, and there are already plans to increase and expand the product range for export to the USA and the UK.
“We were very pleased with the exhibition format; we had an excellent booth and a convenient space for meetings with international partners. All processes were organized promptly and efficiently, with the team always nearby and ready to assist with any issues, including equipment. We plan to continue participating in such exhibitions in the future.” - Iryna Stopa, Brand Manager of TM "KOMO".
The producer continues to seize the opportunity to raise the company-awareness in the international market and will soon showcase its products at one of the most influential international food industry exhibitions in the world, SIAL PARIS 2024.
