The event “Innovation Beyond Borders: Opportunities for Digital Europe for Ukraine” was held on March 14 in Kyiv, during which the opportunities and results of the EU Digital Europe Programme were presented. The Programme helps Ukrainian organizations and private companies develop projects in the field of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and cloud services.

Thanks to the Programme, a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) has been created in Ukraine. This makes it possible to transform digitalization in various areas, help businesses test the necessary technologies and tools for work, as well as invest in them.

Since 2022, 19 grant agreements have been signed, in which 75 institutions and organizations participated. Ukraine received 14.4 million euros for the implementation of digital technologies within the Programme.

Among the organizations that attracted funding: SE Diia, Association “Lviv IT Cluster”, Polissia National University, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, LLC “HOSA”, LLC "Tanhost", National University "Chernihiv Polytechnic", Public Union “Kharkiv IT Cluster”, LLC “IT Events Promotion”.

In addition, during the event, 8 European Digital Innovation Hubs in Ukraine, including Eastern Ukraine EDIH, Win-Win EDIH, CentralUkrainianEDIH, POLIDIH (Polissia Digital Innovation Hub), Clotex Hub, Zaporizhzhia EDIH, EDIH “Kyiv Hitech”, EUNITED Digital Hub shared their experience, challenges and victories in implementing the latest technologies in the fields of Energy and Energy Efficiency, Health, Manufacturing, Food Tech, EdTech, Digital and Green Transformation.

In addition to presenting the results, they talked about the support provided by the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office as a national contact point and available opportunities.

The EU Digital Europe Programme contributes to the implementation of digital transformation in our country, and will help Ukrainian participants become more competitive and successfully integrate into the EU digital market.

Participation in the Programme until 2027 provides an opportunity to receive funding for digitalization in various areas, which will help accelerate economic recovery and digital transformation. 6 billion euros have been allocated for the areas available to Ukraine.
