22.05.2026, 11:00

On May 19–20, Ukrainian manufacturers showcased their products at the international exhibition PLMA Amsterdam 2026, held in Amsterdam and bringing together thousands of manufacturers, retailers, and distributors from more than 70 countries worldwide. Within the national pavilion of Ukraine, organized by the “U-Food” Association in cooperation with the state institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office,” six Ukrainian companies from various segments of the food industry presented their products. Over the two days of the exhibition, the pavilion was visited by 240 verified buyers, while participants held more than 250 B2B meetings with representatives of international retail chains, HoReCa, and distributors from Europe and other regions of the world.

PLMA Amsterdam is the world’s largest private label exhibition, annually bringing together leading buyers, retailers, distributors, and food manufacturers from more than 70 countries. For producers of food products, beverages, confectionery, organic, and frozen goods, it is one of the key international platforms for developing cooperation with retail chains. It also helps them enter new markets and promote products both under their own brands and in private label formats.

Participation in PLMA Amsterdam 2026 provided Ukrainian companies with an opportunity to directly present their products to international retail chains, distributors, and procurement specialists. It also helped establish new contacts for export development and private label cooperation on the European market.

The Ukrainian pavilion brought together six companies from different segments of the food industry, presenting a wide range of products — from sauces, breakfast cereals, and confectionery products to organic and frozen goods. Among the participants were OLIS Ltd., one of the largest Ukrainian producers of mayonnaise, sauces, ketchup, and sunflower oil; TDV “HD Bakery and Snacks,” specializing in bakery and confectionery products under private label; TzOV “Darlisad,” a producer of frozen berries and organic fruits; “Grona,” one of Ukraine’s leading biscuit manufacturers; PrJSC “Lantmannen Axa,” the largest producer of breakfast cereals in Ukraine; and “Askania-Pack,” a market leader in portioned packaging of sauces, honey, and jams.

Over 250 B2B Meetings and New Partnerships

Over the two days of the exhibition, the Ukrainian pavilion was visited by 240 verified buyers. Representatives of Ukrainian companies held more than 250 B2B meetings with potential partners, buyers, and retail representatives from various countries across Europe and other regions of the world.

Interest in Ukrainian products turned out to be significantly higher than expected. Inquiries came both from the HoReCa segment and international retail chains. Potential partners were particularly interested in private label cooperation formats, as well as products under the Ukrainian manufacturers’ own brands.

Participants noted the high level of organization of PLMA Amsterdam 2026 and the quality of the business audience. As a result of the meetings, part of the contacts has already moved to the stage of further negotiations and commercial discussions. Companies expect that the established connections will become the basis for long-term contracts and further export expansion.

Private Label as an Export Driver

The private label segment continues to grow globally, especially in the European market. For Ukrainian manufacturers, it represents an opportunity to integrate into international supply chains, cooperate with large retail networks, and scale exports even in a highly competitive environment.

PLMA Amsterdam remains one of the key international platforms for developing such cooperation formats. At the same time, the participation of Ukrainian companies in the exhibition demonstrates the readiness of domestic businesses to meet international quality standards, adapt products to the requirements of different markets, and develop higher value-added exports.

Participation in PLMA Amsterdam 2026 became for Ukrainian manufacturers not only an opportunity to present their products to an international audience but also an important milestone in strengthening Ukraine’s sustainable export presence on the global food market.
